Transplant Scar Camouflage
Many of our clients, including some of us here at SMP INK, have hair transplant scars. Before scalp micropigmentation was an option, these scars were unavoidable. Getting a hair transplant used to be the most advantageous option to combat hair loss, but unfortunately, it can come with some not-so-great side effects. Discover how scalp micropigmentation helps with scar camouflage.
Hair Transplant Scar Camouflage
During the process of hair transplants, healthy hair follicles are cut into strips in the back of a person’s head to transplant more hair into balding areas. This often leaves the person with a massive scar on the back of the head. In many cases, companies that provided hair transplants would downplay these negative effects to their clients, which left them unknowledgeable—with hyper white scarring, or FUE scars.
SMP to reduce FUE scars
FUE hair restoration is said to be scarless, but when done incorrectly, it can leave unsightly lines on the scalp that are still visible through the hair. These scars mainly run along the back of your head, less visible for you, but not so much for everyone else. If these scars are extremely pronounced and noticeable, it’s unfortunate when your goal with hair restoration is to improve the look of your scalp in the first place.
What can you do?
Our number one goal at SMP INK is to avoid issues like this and to help you regain your confidence about the way you look. Lucky for you, our expert SMP technique can seamlessly camouflage scarred areas on your scalp.
This procedure, known as micropigmentation scar camouflage, matches the hair follicles to surrounding areas. It’s a common practice we do here at SMP INK to help clients who have literally been scarred by previous providers. We’re eager to gain the opportunity to help you regain your confidence. Find out how we can make that obvious scar disappear before your eyes.
